"NUTS"! TO SURRENDER

60 YEARS ORDAINED...AS RESISTANT
AS EVER...
When a couple of weeks before the 60th anniversary of his ordination
to the priesthood (4-12-1942) the establishment Catholic Church approached
him with an offer of "prayers" and "blessing",
Farther Gommar A. De Pauw, since 1964 the founder-president of the
Catholic Traditionalist Movement, politely but firmly reacted
with the proverbial "Thanks,... but no thanks..."'
although some observers might well consider the priest's answer the
theological equivalent of the famous "Nuts!" answer the
Battle of the Bulge surrounded American troops gave to Hitler's goons
calling for their surrender...
Between February 8 and March 4 the CTM-leader was approached no
less than five times - one phone call, three letters, and one personal
visit ... by an American Catholic establishment bishop, claiming to
be acting in concert with John Paul II and Cardinal Dario
Castrillon Hoyos, president of the Vatican's Ecclesia Dei
Commission, described as "speaking for the holy Farther on
these matters". (Respecting the Bishop's request for "confidentiality",
the CTM is not revealing his name at this point in time.)
What the Bishop in his letter of March 4th called "a very
simple and concrete proposal ... by whose acceptance the Holy Farther
and Cardinal Castrillon would be very pleased" amounted in
reality to asking the CTM ... not only to immediately turn all its
buildings and other material assets to the local establishment bishop,
... but even more so, to provide the Vatican with a repeat performance
of the January 18, 2002, ceremony in Campos, Brazil, during
which a group of Brazilian followers of the late Archbishop Marcel
Lefebvre was granted their request to be readmitted to the
Vatican establishment structure, after publicly asking forgiveness
for the 13 years of "schism" and, in return for permission
to continue with some sort of Latin liturgy, equally publicly committing
themselves to stop all criticism of John Paul II and Vatican
Council II, and to admit the validity and legitimacy of the Novus
Ordo "mass" as approved by Paul VI...
The full text of the 3-page-letter Father De Pauw sent in
answer to the Vatican's "very simple concrete proposal"
will be published in the new issue of the CTM's "Quote...Unquote",
and also made available on its Website - www.latinmass-ctm.org.
The substance of the letter, however, is in all clarity
contained in these lines:
| "I UNEQUIVOCALLY REFUSE TO RENEW ANY RELATIONS
WITH ANY ENTITY OF WHAT 'THE FATHER OF THE NOVUS ORDO', THE LATE
DISGRACED ARCHBISHOP ANNIBALE BUGNINI, SO CORRECTLY CALLED 'A NEW
CONCILIAR CHURCH'" |
"What others still refer to today as today's 'Catholic Church',
is for us, traditionalist Roman Catholics, no longer the "Una,
Sancta, Catholica, Apostolica Ecclesia' of our forefathers, the
Church in which we were baptized and ordained...
Your new Bugnini organization started its 'Journey to Hell'
with replacing the Sacrifice of the Mass on an altar with a pseudo
- Protestant table service...
And with the true Mass, the very heart of the true Church and source
of all sacramental grace, no longer available to its leaders and members,
it was bound to be only a matter of time, before your new conciliar
church would provide the world with the fulfillment of those prophecies
the Blessed Mother made at La Salette in 1846 and Fatima in 1917:...
"Tremble, all you who claim to serve Jesus
Christ, but who inwardly worship yourselves. - Tremble, because
the day will come that God will let you fall into the hands of His
enemy, with your once holy places corrupt, and many convents and
monasteries no longer the home of the Divine, but, instead, the
hunting grounds of the devil of impurity. - Rome itself will lose
the Faith and become the seat of the Antichrist."
A once 'One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic' Church degenerated into
today's conciliar sect,... a sect having lost both its Faith and
its Morals.

The CTM-leader concluded his "Thanks-but-no-Thanks"
letter to the Vatican messenger-bishop by stating
| "AFTER I HAVE, BY THE GRACE OF THE LORD'S
TRUE SACRIFICE OF THE MASS AND THE ROSARY PROTECTION OF HIS BLESSED
MOTHER, BEEN ABLE TO STAY FREE, FOR THE PAST THIRTY-EIGHT YEARS,
FROM ALL CONCILIARIST HERESY AND IMMORALITY, I AM NOT READY NOW,
AT THIS LATE HOUR, TO EVEN CONSIDER FOR A MOMENT, THE MELLOWING
OF MY POSITIONS. TO DO SO WOULD, INDEED, BE A RATHER STRANGE WAY
TO CELEBRATE THE 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF MY PRIESTLY ORDINATION..." |
More then ever aware of the scriptural warning "only those who
persevere till the end will be saved" (Matthew 10, 22), I am
determined to spend the active years the Lord will still grant me
continuing to do the same things that kept me busy - and -
successful, Deo gratias! - these past 38 years with the worldwide
Catholic Traditionalist Movement, and these past 34 years with
the truly 'beautiful people' of the CTM - Headquarters 'Ave Maria
Chapel' in Westbury, Long Island, ... looking for continuing inspiration
to the words of that one time lonely, maligned, persecuted and even
excommunicated St. Athanasius
| 'IF THE WHOLE WORLD GOES AGAINST THE TRUTH,
THEN ATHANASIUS MUST GO AGAINST THE WHOLE WORLD! ... CATHOLICS WHO

P.S. - Contrary to what took place 10 years ago, when on the occasion
of his Golden Ordination Jubilee, the CTM organized an extravaganza,
in which people from all over the world participated, including European
royalty and American presidents, cabinet members, generals and admirals,
Father De Pauw insisted that this 60th anniversary should only be celebrated
with a traditional Latin Mass of thanksgiving at the CTM - Headquarters'
